“What do you suppose will satisfy the Soul, except
to walk free." - Walt Whitman

The opportunity to act as custodians of one of the world’s most spectacular environments does not fall to many or come around often. We know exactly the honour and the responsibility we hold in our hands. Only the very best will do for this unique environment in the south of the Kruger National Park conservation area.

With this in mind, we have put together a team of experts who are as committed as we are to this precious land and the exciting undertaking ahead.

Come and meet us.

THE ARCHITECTS

Chris Sparks Architecture has completed numerous projects in Nelspruit, White River, Nottingham Road, Plettenberg Bay, the Garden Route, as well as Zimbabwe and Botswana. Besides their experience designing luxury bush lodges in the Lowveld, they have undertaken large-scale housing developments in the Gauteng area. They explore every opportunity to practice “green” design, from the simplest detail to the highest technical application, and place emphasis on sustainable environmental practices.

They work towards realizing an aesthetic that is as diverse as our country by using local materials, colour, and texture. The practice believes that just as each client’s needs are unique, each site requires unique design responses.

Co-Lab Architects is a vibrant young architectural practice situated in Nelspruit. This practice has built its name on an innovative, site-sensitive design approach. It was founded in 2008 by Louis Jonker, who is skilled in design management, mixed-use and concept development.

Based in the Lowveld’s incredible landscape, with projects ranging from small retreats to high-density residential developments, their work is inspired by place and a seamless interior-exterior relationship. While giving weight to how each project interacts with its setting, equal attention is paid to how interior spaces will be used and relate to each other. This ethos ensures eminently livable designs that are rooted in their context.
